Guest Additions を ゲストOSである Redhat Linux 6.2 にインストール方法について説明します。
今回はVirtulBox 4.1.12 r77245を使用しています。
(1)メニュー[デバイス][Guest Additionsのインストール]を選択します。
デスクトップ上にVBOXADDITIONS_4.1.12_77245 が作成されます。
(2)デスクトップより[端末の中に開く]を選択します。
コンソールが開きます。
(3)cd コマンドで以下に移動します。
/media/VBOXADDITIONS_4.1.12_77245/
(4)VBoxLinuxAdditions.runを実行します。
#./VBoxLinuxAdditions.run
Verifying archive integrity... All good.
Uncompressing VirtualBox 4.1.12 Guest Additions for Linux.........
VirtualBox Guest Additions installer
Removing existing VirtualBox DKMS kernel modules [ OK ]
Removing existing VirtualBox non-DKMS kernel modules [ OK ]
Building the VirtualBox Guest Additions kernel modules
Building the main Guest Additions module [ OK ]
Building the shared folder support module [ OK ]
Building the OpenGL support module [ OK ]
Doing non-kernel setup of the Guest Additions [ OK ]
Starting the VirtualBox Guest Additions [ OK ]
Installing the Window System drivers
Installing X.Org Server 1.10 modules [ OK ]
Setting up the Window System to use the Guest Additions [ OK ]
You may need to restart the hal service and the Window System (or just restart
the guest system) to enable the Guest Additions.
Installing graphics libraries and desktop services componen[ OK ]
(4)OS を再起動します。
以上でGuest Additionsのインストールは完了です。
Guest Additionsの以下の機能が使用可能となります。
・ホストPCとゲストOSのクリップボード共有
・ホストPCとゲストOS間のマウスの移動で 右[Ctrl] キーが不要
・ゲストOSのウインドウサイズの変更（ホストPC上でウィンドウサイズを変更すると、ゲストPCも合わせて自動で変更されます)
・ゲストOSの 高解像度のデスクトップ画面の使用
・ホストPCとゲストOSの時刻同期
・ホストPCとゲストOSのフォルダ共有
